I've joined a sketch challenge DT! No more creative blocks for me!

My New Sketch Work!

Hi everyone . . .everywhere!   I say everywhere because no matter what we preform in this forum, it can be heard around the world in a matter of seconds!  Isn't that phenomenal?  I've been on a few design teams but I thought it was time to stretch my reach into the sketch challenge world for a bit and found myself a lovely little group of talent across the ocean.

I am just catching up with some exciting news tonight!.  My work with Whimsy Stamps is, to say the least, always absolutely thrilling and I'm always so tickled to share with you on releases, hops and of course the Magazine!  However, I too find myself looking for designs that come from specific inspiration.  Take some of the design guess work out and just let my love of colors and mediums flow!!  You know??

I am thrilled to say I have been asked to join the Design Team at A Die for a Sketch
It is a monthly Sketch Challenge filled with wonderful and talented artists from all over the world ( I'm going to have to brush up on my German) tehe!!!

My first card will be for the January Challenge but it's as easy as this:

Use at least one die, and follow the Sketch of course.

There is a lovely Sketch up ready to follow this month, if you get the inkling,  I do hope you can join in with us.

Thanks ladies for the lovely opportunity and I look forward to meeting all of you in the Lounge soon!  Don't you just love making new friends?? I know I do!

I've been blessed with TLC and TTT!

I've been making cards for what seems like forever, but the blogging world was alien to me until just last December.  I started out with the Maggie's, found the Dragons, Ran across the Diva's, fluttered by the Whiskers, stopped in on Sunday for a Sentiment ...  and now ... I get to collect and cherish Tips of the trade on Tuesdays too!  It's a whirlwind and I'm so excited!  I feel like I've won the lottery! :)

I was just elated to hear from the Top Tip Tuesdays DT call.  They have invited me to join their talented crafters for inspiration, tutorials and challenges!  I'm so pleased because this is going to be the little flame under my tail to get going on the tutorials and I plan to learn and share so much more with the tips from all the challenge players too!  Goal 4 for this year is done!

No specific card ready today, but I wanted to share some of my craft sale images to celebrate this DT placement!  These photos are from my craft sale in May, very good results!  The paper crafting world is providing me with the opportunity to be home when my autistic child needs me as well as a great deal of joy!

I'm playing with my photo editor too!  Blurred edges, hmm not sure if I like it?
Now I need to . . .  get published, get on a Christmas DT for building that specific inventory, add three more craft sales to my calendar, and get my 5th retail store buying my inventory!
image sharpener is my new best friend!
The blemish cream is good too!
Also own every Copic color marker, refill and maybe certification! Oh what a happy day that will be!

Thank you Leanne, Carol and Samantha for such a great opportunity!  I can't wait to get started!

Today over at Top Tip Tuesday we have a fabulous tutorial from DT member:

Wild Orchid Crafts DT call!

Wild Orchid Crafts DT Call

I'm going to throw myself out there and apply for the opportunity to design greeting cards for the most phenomenal flower production company I've ever found!  I love using this product and the sale of my greeting art in both the retail vendors and the craft sales have increased significantly with the use of their embellishments!  So here goes:

From the first day 12-17-2010 that I started my blog, my main goal has been to share what I know, what others are giving and to inspire!

Wild Orchid Crafts DT Call

The trouble is I'm so new to blogging even though I've made cards for more than 10 years, and everything is created with new card designs and stamping images both rubber and digital.  Copic is new to me as the water color was my most used technique.  All of the following are my favorite projects from 2011!   I have had 2 retail stores for years and have just obtained 3 more recently that have special design needs and product so I am looking to increase my finished product even faster and designing for inspiration is great incentive!  I am a stay home mom in Michigan and have found my heart in paper crafting and sharing!  I've decided to grab some of the pics, post them here with links attached and maybe they will find me a position on this fabulous team.

First time sewing dp's for covering a paper mache item

First Vintage style Tim Holtz inspired card and first card for first DT

First time adding a take off item to any card!

First Shaker Card ever!

First altered items, photo frames, albums, boxes, cards and journals

First Twisted easel card ever! First card for Diva's by Design DT

First swing card ever!

first projector sheet cover card this won 3 badges from challenges!

Maybe now you can see why it would be impossible for me to choose! Besides, I think you want to see techniques and styles and my actual favorite is the one I made for my parents anniversary! Which was just a nicely done regular card that I find grand because of the sentimental value!

My !parents 45th wedding anniversary card

All of these are items I sell at craft sales and in my Vendor retail stores so there is a HUGE variety of styles, occassions, and genres. I have a lot more to learn, I have no hesitation sharing and I truly love this crafting.

The photos above are linked to the posts, my home page is available on the daisy link above. I never have enough inventory for my craft sales and vendors so the more I make the better!
I am a stay home mom of an autistic child, married 24 years to my high school sweetheart, and I live in Michigan. Thank you Wild Orchid Crafts for the opportunity! I hope you have enjoyed my work! As I always leave with this:
